A bit of history

Although I only started this blogsite today, it has been inspired by over 5 years dabbling in ways to make a good honest income working from home.



Since 1997 I have been a mortgage broker working with various broking organisations including Australian Mortgage Brokers, Resi, Aussie and finally being independent and working from home on my own (most successful of all). For the past year I have used my http://www.reversemortgages.net.au/ website to generate leads for my Seniors Loans Made Easy business.



Since the beginning of the "financial crisis", general broking business had dropped off dramatically and although I have a fair trailing commission, I figured that would dry up in 3 to 5 years so I was looking for ways to replace this income. As far back as 2004 I picked up a book on Google Ads and that stirred my interest in online marketing, but since broking was going well back in those days I didn't pursue it much further.



After setting up my Seniors Loans Made Easy website I was searching for ways to drive more traffic to the site and while pursing this activity, I stumbled across a variety of free internet tools which I found useful. With this new arsenal I was looking for a way to use them in order to generate some income online. I quickly discovered that you become very vulnerable to all the scams out there looking to hook some "newbie" into one of their schemes. I'm past that danger now and would like others avoid it too.
